Michelin Pilot Super Sports

Just ordered 4 of them last night in 215/45/R17 from DiscountTireDirect. Based on the reviews on TireRack they sound like an excellent tire. They are probably a bit overkill for my SVT but they were only 100$ more than the Continental DW tires and they got much better reviews.

Anyone have any experience with these tires?

I ordered through DiscountTire because at the time they were showing the $70 Visa card promo and your site wasn't. I see now that you guys have began running the same promo. I probably would have ordered from TireRack had the promo been showing when I placed the order. I guess its true, you snooze you lose ...

I've got no reason to complain, I was just joking. Sometimes we are a day or two behind on rebates like that, but we get with Michelin as quick as we can to get it up and running as well. I agree with everybody else here, you pretty much have the best of the best summer tire available. I would be shocked if you didn't absolutely love them. Those tires get the fastest times on our test track year after year. Great buy!

Much agreed. Best summer street tires I've ever used. Can't comment on winter driving with them though. My old Camaro hibernated from November to April.

Amazing tire! They are great on the street, daily, or on the track. Really a tire that can take a lot in all aspects. It's not cheap though!

Wanted to get these but a little too pricey for me. Have heard only good things about them.

Ended up getting Bridgestone Potenza S-04's. Supposed to be better than the DW's I had. Butch at Tire Rack informed me of a $70 rebate starting on 9/1 so he is holding my order until then so I can get the rebate :)

Just got them mounted and balanced today. I didn't have much time to drive them hard but so far I've been very impressed. They are so much quieter than the Continentals that were on before!

I've put about 350 miles on these tires and so far they have not failed to impress in any way. I've pushed the SVT pretty hard through a few corners and have yet to even make them squeak or chirp. They are extremely responsive to turn-in and do a great job inspiring absolute confidence because they are so predictable. I'm convinced the car would roll-over before these tires lose grip haha.

I was also worried about ride quality and noise since a lot of my driving is on the highway commuting to and from work but so far these are easily the quietest and most comfortable driving tires I've owned to date. The DWS's that were removed had gotten loud enough I stopped riding with my windows down because I would get a headache. They could easily drown out the sound of engine when cruising at highway speeds. The Michelins are so quiet that my engine is now easily the loudest noise coming from my car at any speed.

My only regret is that they were installed so close to the end of summer and that I won't get to drive on them very long before my winter setup gets installed. They are a little pricey compared to other summer tires but well worth it in my opinion. I can't recommend these tires enough.
