Re-drilling hubs and rotors to 5x108 and 4x100

I am now offering to re-drill your rotors and hubs to 5x108 to use the new generation focus wheels. I did one set for one of the members, and they came out great. My father and i have done this for many cars to fit large brakes, stronger spindles, ...etc with much success, and i would like to offer my services to you guys now.

I can also re-drill them to other four bolt patterns if you are interested.

Cost for a full set of hubs and rotors/drums is going to be $120

If you prefer brand new hubs or rotors/drums, i can source new parts from my local parts warehouse, or you can order them and have them shipped to me. I priced out new hubs, rotors, and drums, and it comes to about $230 before tax at Autozone

I will install all the studs properly using a hydraulic press, and we can remove/install new bearings for an additional cost if desired. I also offer many other machining services.

longer, stronger studs for performance applications can also be installed for no extra charge as long as they don't require extensive modification.

For FF members, I am offering no setup fee, like I would normally charge people for machine work, and I am willing to charge a lower group cost if anyone is interested in a group buy.

I also do lots of custom machining, such as head decking, bracket fabrication, and just about anything you can think of. I can also weld steel, but don't have a tig yet, so aluminum and stainless are not an option... yet.

Let me know what I can do for you!

I know of someone that might be very interested in this! Would you be able to do a 12+ from 5x108 to 5x100? I'll ask around. I can ask locally.

Yes I can, I can put just about any pattern that will fit on the hubs. I could even change a five lug to a four lug or vice versa, if you got the holes welded closed, then I could machine it flat and re-drill. Easiest way though is to keep the same number of lugs and just change the pattern. 5x100 is a really popular pattern too.

what would you charge for 4 hubs and rotors to be changed to either 4x100 or a 5x100/108 or even 114.3? (last one is mustang) how tough are they still? have any cars been tracked that you know of after doing this? i may want to run a 5 bolt on my car but i will be chucking out about 400ft/lbs/tq at the wheels or more and it will be at the track quite alot.

I'm in the process of drilling a set of hubs to 5x108. This is the best option in my opinion. As far as strength goes, you don't have to worry. My dad drives a dodge omni with 400hp, and and almost 435tq, and he re-drilled his 5x100 hubs to 4x100 so he could use readily available honda pattern drag rims with his big brakes. He daily drives the car and runs 11.3 1/4 times. He probably has almost 1k runs on those hubs.

I'll get back to you with a price. Changing the pattern size takes a considerable amount more work. 4x100 or 5x108 are easy to do though.

With drilling the hubs and rotors, what is the Honda hub bore measurement and would it work with the ford center bore. What is the Honda bore? I am very interested.

One issue I ran into when researching the change to 4x100 is the hub center size. Honda wheels have a bore roughly 7mm smaller than the ford one. This would mean I would have to bore out the wheels to the right bore. This isn't too hard at all, but that would mean that I would need your wheels, which adds cost.

I am trying to resolve this issue by machining a new centering ring, but not sure how I am going to do that at the moment.

For now, I am going to reword the post to say 5x108, which uses the same hub size, and are a lot more common than 4x108. They are used on the new Focus, and lots of other Fords, Mazda's, and I think even Jaguars.
