Widebands....

So guys Im in the market for a wideband, apparentely I need one if Im going to NOS the car out so...

Ive been looking at several brands and apprently the best ones (and more popular) are AEM, Innovate and NGK.

now the NGK is way too expensive for my budget so its out.
this leave the AEM uego and Innovate MTX-L, which one is better?

Ive read about how the AEM ones lose calibration overtime and theyre a pain to calibrate again, also theyre refresh rate is slow.

The innovate ones apparently have a faster refresh rate and dont lose their calibration like the AEM.

What do you guys recommend? both are about the same price, and readily available to be installed.

It sounds like you have answered your self. if cost is a wash and you hear the innovate is "better" due to faster refresh and does not loose cal then go with the Innovate.

I would also be careful where you install the location of the wideband O2 sensor. that I think is more important than the gauge. Do you have a spot located or a bung welded in yet?

I have both, Innovate is my choice.

At the time I bought the Innovate from Summit, it was sold as a Summit item but when it arrived it was obviously a repackaged Innovate unit. I was happy with that.

Not to distract from the OP post and question but what about AutoMeter? thew Street versions of the wide band are around the $200 price tag (http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugede...earch&gid=4057) or is this just more for the name?

well mixed replies heh, I suppouse its then just a matter of personal preference?

about the location, I have an ORP, iirc the wideband can be placed where the secondary O2 sensor was right? I got it removed because well... ORP...

or where should I place it?
