HERE is a link to the production numbers and if you scroll down some post you'll see the info for finding out the production number, which is as far as I know still current.

Thanks sleepyboy! I just looked at the local area pull a part and they have no lie 20 focus's so I'm pretty sure I can find that bezel, and I have a guy at the local Ford dealership that usually hooks me up with a 20% discount on something I need so I should be good to find a SVT bezel at some point. Thanks for the links!

No problem glad to help

If you see any SVT's it may be worth your wild picking them of parts to sell. Look at the cat's to see if they have a off road pipe, side skirts, and any other parts that I can't remember right now. The side skirts are like gold even if one is damaged cause there are a lot of folks just looking for the end caps on them and such.

What sucks though is a lot of folks are starting to part these cars out instead of fixing them so they are becoming more rare and even rarer to find a unmolested one. I wish I could save as many as I could, but so far just mine. You can check out my rebuild thread HERE, needs pics to be added but it has been updated.

Yea thats the way the game goes unfortunately when it comes to rare vehicles. I had a 99 mercury cougar a while back that Ford stopped making after a mere 5 years (Now I cant say that it was an awesome car because it WAS NOT), but anyway finding decent headlights, or a sunroof that was full functional was like gold. I came across a pair of headlights with broken tabs and they sold for no lie $450 on ebay as a set so I know what you mean. The good thing though is there are other focus's that seem like some parts are interchangeable so little bits and pieces can be restored. If I find anything when I head out there I will let you know.

Oh yea, parts interchangeability is nice, but a some parts are SVT specific, but like you said you know how that goes lol

I was browsing and saw some posting about an ecu reflash. Is this common, and needed. On my cougar ford had a recall to have the ecu reflashed even though it really didnt do anything in my opinion.

Mine is an unmolested 04. Basically stock. (K&N panel filter.) I plan to keep her up, staying as is for the most part.

The SVT and other focus (like Ole' Yeller') had a few factory flash updates from the factory to help with the weird drive-ability problems that they had, like surging when driving when it isn't fully warmed up (what mine did), bogging when taking off from low rpm, and the intake manifold switch over point and a few other things that I'm not remembering since it's been ages since anyone's talked about the stock tune lol. A tune for the SVT is one of the best and upgrades you can do. Mine used to feel o k till I hit 5k rpm then it would haul butt, now with the tune it pulls from much lower rpm's and sounds like a beast doing it, and it doesn't bog anymore on take off. It really drives the way it should have from the factory IMO.
