Quad exhaust??

Hey does anyone have quad exhaust on their Mk3? I'm considering buying the fswerks race cat back. And having them send an extra exhaust tip. I think it would look ba.

Why not get the dual exhaust with dual exhaust tips?

From what I gather, it's easiest to get a "dual exhaust" with a transverse muffler setup. A camaro or firebird muffler works if im not mistaken. The fswerks stuff uses a straight muffler afaik... Longitudinal muffler??? Idk...

Transverse muffler with dual dual tips would look pretty sweet I think.

I don't think so. Not without a custom setup from the engine back. A true dual exhaust would require two separate headers. One pipe for each header all the way back, separate mufflers and exits.

Most people do a dual exhaust with a transverse muffler that is single entry, dual exit. (I think I neglected to mention that in first post.) Meaning the gases come from the engine into, the muffler in one pipe, but has two separate tips to exit from. You get the look of a dual exhaust without actually being a true dual exhaust.

The transverse single in dual out is much cheaper than a true dual exhaust for this car. Since it is only muffler back, the setup isn't too expensive. However a true dual would mean lot$ of cu$tom part$...

Yeah I was looking at the fswerks stuff too.

Idk if I'm gonna go with that or the fakie dual. I really like the look of duals on this car, and your quad tips idea seems like gold to me. Might steal that from ya...

A bunch of people have done the duals, search the forum and you'll find some pics. They look really good on the focus.

could always run the fswerks kit and where the second pipe clamps on by the wheel axle you could run a y pipe out and have two tips.. A little more harder and you'd need custom work but its doable.

Easiest way would be what he said, single entrance muffler with two exits.
But its sound/quality vs looks. I think the fswerks does a good job of doing both.
