Like i said, im not convinced that these are going to stay blue... I think I need some matching blue pinstriping along the body lines to help it look more appropriate... And maybe some blue decals... *sigh* idunno...

Oh, ive also upgraded the mount for the dashcam/cellphone holder. They now BOTH use Ram Mounts. Its getting alittle big, but i like that its still secure with very little wiggle.

Anyways, thats all for right now.... I've got something else in the works, but havent had time to finish yet...
What kind of paint did you use for the washer nozzles? I'm curious to see how they hold up....I did mine last summer with my leftover caliper paint and they're chipping now.

You'd pretty much be looking at law enforcement level video surveillance with offsite storage... Ive looked at those while doing research for the dvr set-up and they arent cheap.... And you are right, that it shows even if i was doing something wrong, but then, all mk3 focii are equipped with a black box from factory, so theres not really any point trying to hide it anyways :-)

Not paint, vinyl. Just unclipped them and wrapped the vinyl around them. FYI, be very VERY careful when cutting the outlet port area... My thumb wasnt lucky and got a pretty good slice from the knife blade...

So, if the thief gets away with it despite the offsite video, he'd get the expensive surveillance equipment, too. And have a big laugh at the (previous) owner. Maybe not as good an idea as I first thought. I'll probably leave it to the police and continue using my existing anti-theft measures.

Honestly, you'd be better off investing in a fairly good quality video surveillance setup for the outside of your house, pointed to cover wherever you park. If thats not possible (renting a place or whatever) you can find a fair number of easily removable camera options that work via wifi...

Oh, and FYI, video surveillance outside your house should be fine as long as you arent pointing a camera right in your neighbours window or other creepyness, as there is no expectation of privacy on public roadways/sidewalks, tho you might want to doublecheck just to cover your a$$.

Yeah, several homeowners in our neighborhood crime watch group have cameras set up. We just had to put a sign up on the block to notify everyone that private surveillance is present. Video from one has helped the police identify a guy who had broken into several cars at around 3 am on several occasions. I'd prefer to catch him with some kind of vaporizing laser beam , but someone else's camera would probably catch it in the act and I'd end up being the defendant. Just daydreaming ...

I probably should not discuss this any further in public.

Lol heres the twist tho, as an anti-carjacking mechanism, its perfectly legal so long as the carjacker is threatening you with something potentially life-threatening, you could actually use thia as a self defence tool.

Information or data is never really erased, its just marked by the computer as available for use. So the files that are erased are always still there unless your computer over writes the file with another, or partially overwrites then you get a miss mash of information on the same space.
