More Vinyl!

So, I was forced to take some time off, courtesy of the government, so I had some time to do a couple more pieces in that delicious blue vinyl,
The Driver (and passenger) door trim:

The Battery box and fuse panel covers:

Dirty engine compartment, but clean vinyl...

AND GRILL!

I'm kind of choked tho, as when i did my grill, i found out that my passenger side fog light was attacked by an angry rock , and gave its life in defense of my car ... *sigh* im starting to think that im going to have to just bite the bullet and go get all these pieces painted...

Any issues with vinyl under the hood from the heat. I was thinking about something like that but was concerned the heat for the engine.

Not as of yet, as far as im aware, tho, it doesn't wrap quite as tightly over the lettering on the battery box lid as id prefer. It looks in the pic like its peeling on the one side, but it wasnt.

Good to know, I'm looking at doing some C/F under the hood to match what I have done on the interior.
I found that using a hairdryer to heat the vinyl makes it form to the shape better.

Ill doublecheck when i go out later on, just to make sure, but i wouldn't think that those covers could get hot enough for the vinyl to melt. They are just abs plastic as far as i can tell...

Im not usually a fan of c/f, but your's looks very well done.

@Kotlkn: I just rechecked the underhood vinyl, and aside from getting dirty, its all still in place and looking just as good as when i first put it on.

@F'nClassy: Thanks!

Alright, so, one more real quick update. Courtesy of this thread here:
Helm Shop Manual
I found out how to remove the automatic shift knob, so its now been covered in vinyl!

I'm figuring all this vinyl has gotta be worth at least 50hp on the butt dyno...

Alright, so, Im trying to pull some of the colour from the interior of the car to the exterior, to try and start tying all the major parts together, IE: Interior, exterior and engine compartment. Im not convinced yet that this current set of vinyl will be sticking around, but for now, PICS!

Washer jets:

Driver's side drip rail:

Passenger side drip rail:

Both together:

Like i said, im not convinced that these are going to stay blue... I think I need some matching blue pinstriping along the body lines to help it look more appropriate... And maybe some blue decals... *sigh* idunno...

Oh, ive also upgraded the mount for the dashcam/cellphone holder. They now BOTH use Ram Mounts. Its getting alittle big, but i like that its still secure with very little wiggle.
Pic:

Anyways, thats all for right now.... I've got something else in the works, but havent had time to finish yet...

Of course, video (like a booby trap) does not "take sides". If you ever happen to be the one who did something wrong, there will be no denying it. (I've read that there are ways to recover data from SD cards that have been "erased".)

I have wondered when seeing the video from police bait cars on TV how hard it would be to set up something like that to catch a thief in the act. Not intentionally, like they do, but just in case. It would need a big enough auxiliary battery to keep everything powered without running down the car battery, and should probably have a way to transmit the data to some other device so it wouldn't get stolen along with the vehicle. I've never had a car stolen from me, but it happens a lot around where I live.
