Yeah, I just wasn't in the mood to do that, you know, sometimes a day is so calm, and one is too dumb and easy-taking, to react rightly to such a person.

I don't know about your focus, but first gen's had pretty crappy truck release mechanism, and often wore out. I can't open my trunk without the key. Slamming might accelerate problems like that, but one slam should not do too much.

Good luck dealing with the inconsiderate ones.

One time not going to hurt anything. Look at the corner rubber bumpers, what would go first. Won't hurt the latch at all. If sitting in car you generally feel even a soft shut easily.

It's cringing when it happens, But yeah it won't hurt it unless you go around doing it unmercifully... My dads done it a few times, but he's used to driving a 2001 Cherokee, which is rugged to the bone... so it's somewhat understandable why some people do it...

Yeah it's fine. The trunk lid is lightweight and doesn't contain any fragile electronics. Maybe scold the security worker for being disrespectful.

I checked them, they seem okay, nothing different or catchy; there are two round rubber bumpers attached to the trunk door itself, and those have their prints on the trunk frame, where they reside when trunk is closed; just a clue for the strength of hit. But all seem okay rather.
Thanks for your time and help.
Have a good time.

Yeah, and yes it's too much cringing, especially when a stranger does it reckless and carelessly.

Yeah, I care too for the frame around the trunk, but I hope nothing is affected, at least apparently for me.
I should've at least scolded, but it was a very calm and quite day for me, that at that situation I was too dumb and lazy to react, I just stayed silent, furious inside self, and moved on.
