Recall - Side Marker Lamp Repair/ID13C04

After updating MFT today, I ran a Vehicle Health Report and learned that there is a recall for my ST. I'm not sure of the details or additional models that are affected.

I'm pretty sure it's for a transmission mount.

Not at all, you're mistaking TSB 13-6-10 which was to replace all of the power train mounts and a clutch line with a safety recall for the amber LED at the edge of the ST3 headlamp not being properly grounded either in the harness or in the lamp itself from the Factory on some of the earlier models. This is minor technically, but is a recall because it's a legal requirement for the car to have them functional when sold, where as the motor mounts are not going to cause you any legal trouble, although it can make driving unpleasant.

Has anyone taken their ST in to get the recall repair work completed?

Just wondering how long it took, and did everything go okay with no related issues?

I try and avoid taking my car to the dealer service, but I may have to bite the bullet on this one.

I had my 2013 Job 2 ST3 light recall done the first of September. They said they had to replace the wiring connectors. I left the car and it took them about two hours for the recall and also changing the oil and filter. Other than hand prints on and around the headlights, the only issue I have noticed is the headlight low beam cut-off line is higher than it was. It now hits at the bottom of tree branches instead of the road, but no one has flashed their lights at me so far.

Thanks for the picture. For some reason when I read about the recall, I thought it was talking about the lights on the rear-view mirrors.

So, that sounds like the tech didn't get the headlight assembly positioned the same? Thanks for the reply!

I took mine in. Took the tech an hour or two to rewire those side lamps, but I just left it all day. They had heard of the TSB already.

Guess I'm gonna go ahead and try to get this scheduled. I'm hopeful that my dealer service folks have already done one or two of these. I'm really more concerned about dings or scratches on the car than I am about the electrical side of it. I'm obsessive and I know it...

Thanks for the replies!

I took mine in, but I had to leave it overnight. They said they didn't have the part, so I had to rent an Impala (so sad). Got it back the next day and I'd never noticed the three little yellow lights before.
