Seriously, this needs to be the first thing that pops up when people visit the mk3 thread for the first time. I've been around here for months and I've never seen this mentioned before. Sticky this stuff guys, or put it in the DIY section.
This is what i found with mine. I've had it taped for awhile now and the car just drives better.

It doesn't change much that I could notice. The key change was that it doesn't stutter as bad for me n take of which could give the illusion of better throttle response.

Still not buying it LOL. Call me hard headed. Im ok... always skeptical.

I just have a hard time believing Gorilla tape... or any other for that matter... resolve such a large issue. But then again, I am simple minded so there is that.

I've been having the bogging / shuddering / hesitating problem with my new 2014 Ford Focus. Before beginning a long process with the dealership like many others have done, I decide to try this solution, although I was skeptical. AND IT WORKED. Like the original post says, this only seemed to resolve 80-90% of the issue, but it definitely worked. Pictures below:

TBH.

I think what you're experiencing is a placebo.
I see little to no gap there.

So Ford could not have put some duct tape there themselves and save us the headache?
