An intake on a Duratec is usually good for 4-9ish horsepower. I'd be posting in the Duratec performance forum for more advice on performance upgrades.

I have one on mine right now and I like it a lot. It sounds really mean. Installation was straight forward. The only issue I had was removing the air box assembly. Two of the three bolts were kind of hard to get to.

Did you have take out the splash guard in the wheel well? There's a tutorial for another intake that suggests (well, tells) you to do so in order to remove the airbox.

Yeah you have to remove the splash guard. There are a bunch of bolts and a couple of plastic screws. There is a bolt in the drivers and passenger side wheel wells. The directions that come with the CAI are pretty easy to follow. If you haven't done this before give yourself 2 hours. Removing the air cleaner assembly is the hardest part. You only actually have to remove 2 of the 3 air cleaner bolts and you can just pull it off.
