$4.5k is the regular price for an SVTF with <100k miles? Wow, things must be crazy overpriced in the southeast right now, then. I was thinking of picking up a second one, and the average price around here is $6-8k for that kind of mileage. Every once in a while I spot one for less than $6k, but it's usually gone very quickly or has a lot of miles on it (150k+).

Dear All,

I've bought used 2004 Focus SVT and I already regret it. The problem is that I live in Georgia, a post-Soviet country, and I've never seen another Focus SVT here. I suppose mine is the only one. Therefore, I cannot buy its parts here since, as I understand, ordinary Focus parts cannot be used.
Would you be so kind as to help me by answering the following questions?
Actually, I've heard that every part and accessory of a car has its specific number. So, could you tell me please where can I find numbers of Focus SVT parts?
My SVT has certain sound at the back (both sides). I was told that this might be bearings. So, I want to replace them but I am not sure whether I can use ordinary Focus bearings or should I order SVT bearings online. There is not mechanic in this country that knows Focus SVT, their knowledge covers only ordinary Focus. Please, tell me is there any difference between SVT and ordinary Focus bearing? Can I use ordinary Focus bearing?
Also, I need to replace breaking pads. As far as, I am concerned there are differences between ordinary Focus and SVT Focus breaking pads but I am not sure. Could you tell me whether they are replaceable? Should I order online SVT brake pads or use ordinary Focus pads?
And finally, there is a part, name of which must be arm or control arm. I need to replace them too. Would you be so kind as to tell me whether I can use ordinary Focus arms, or SVT needs its own arm?

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the forum

You may want to try making your own thread.

As for your question, the Focus ST170 is the same as our SVT just a lil different in the small details, but most if not all the parts can be used, and your mechanics should have the repair info that will help you with yours. Even here in the states there's very little SVT specific repair info around besides what the dealers have.

Thank you sleepyboy.

Do you have any idea where can I find numbers of parts and accessories? I suppose there must be guidelines or manuals.
