Anzo Headlights review and comments

Hello again group.
I am searching for a projector headlight set and I heard that the ebay projectors are shytty. I saw some Anzo projector headlights for the mid $250s. Does anybody have experience with this brand headlights?

Yeah, eBay has the same lights that any other site sells, the good brands and the bad.

I heard Anzos are some of the "better" lights out there.

take you stock headlights, and retrofit in a set of mini h1 projector's for around the same price!
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=227
this kit will literally pop right in to your headlight. it's super easy. remove headlight from car, take out bulbs. open headlights in oven (many how to's around here for painting, same concept). take projector and put base through hole left by bulb. put adapter, washer, and locking ring on and tighten. put shroud on projector. (repeat for other headlight). put h1 bulb in headlight. take HID kit, wire to car (plug and play, literally connect ballast to original harness and bulb). reconnect headlights to car. enjoy this forever!

you can even wire in the high beam wire (super easy) to the solenoid to keep high beam function, too!

Could you provide more details about wiring the solenoid for the high beam? I never done this before but I plan to order the kit.

You'll need to cut the pigtail that plugs into the back of the stock headlight. I forgot the focus was like this. Its very easy though. The pigtail has 3 wires. Low high and negative. The positive (low beam) and negative will go to the ballast. The high beam wire will go to the solenoid wire. The solenoid controls the cutoff shield (metal piece that also gives the super sharp cutoff line and creates the "color flicker" you see on like audis and bmws with the blue and purple at the very top). When you put the high beams on the solenoid activates an electromagnet that makes the shield go down.
On the TRS website it has a ton of info on everything projectors and hids. Real good info to scan through!
Also, youtube has vids of other people doing this retrofit. Not the focus, but similar. The focus is easiest cause of the h4 bulb adapter plate provided, so it's aimed correct right away where as other retrofits would be harder, but that's more for a different day lol
