Question Thanks everyone for your help! Having transmission issues. (Error code P0171)

Been asking questions here since I got my focus and you guys have been incredibly helpful. Just wanted to say thanks!

Last time I posted about an engine mount failing and subsequent damage to left axle assembly. Got it all pieced back together, replaced all mounts and left assembly.

About 15 minutes after driving my check engine light came on. At the same time it delayed/hard shifted. I scanned the computer and got (2) P0171 codes (running lean).

Since then I've putted around lightly. It seems to run smooth for about 5 minutes before it start hard shifting out of first/second/third gear. As time goes on it gets worse and worse. After letting it sit in my garage and driving again it runs fine for about 5 minutes before doing it again.

I googled and got O2 censors or a vacuum leak. Any ideas?

EDIT: It's a Automatic 2009 Ford Focus SE

Does the engine run rough or is the transmission just jerky? The codes don't have anything to do with the transmission so it looks like you are probably dealing with 2 separate issues. Does the car idle fine for more than 5 minutes, or does it start to run crappy, or is it only when you are driving? I suppose it's possible that the O2 sensor was damaged when the mount broke or the wiring was damaged?

Engine runs smoothly, no weird idling. Only jerky when driving and only after the engine has been running for a bit.

Big update. Had a diagnose run and here is what they came up with.

2nd and 3rd gear are shifting hard.
Car won't go into 5th, final gear (might be 4th gear? Can't remember how many gears it has).

With that said, anyone have any ideas if this can be symptom of bad O2 sensor?
