Red face Signed, sealed... awaiting delivery!

A week and a half ago, I wandered onto these forums by way of a random Google search. I submitted my first post and have gobbled up every thread I could get my eyes on since.

Tonight, I placed an order for a 2014 Platinum White Titanium Hatchback that will arrive in 4-6 weeks!

I cannot wait and I very much wanted to say that 1) I'm so excited and 2) a big thank you to this forum community for really being supportive of both new Focus owners and new Ford customers.

Very much looking forward to haunting here on a more permanent basis.

Purchases I'll be making prior to delivery:
* All-season floor mats
* White "Ford" logo overlays for front, back, and steering wheel
* Bench seat cover for my dogs

Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Nitty gritty:
* Automatic
* Total delivery price: $24,518, Cash price: $22,518
* Price above includes Ford Auto Armor package discounted at $695: undercoating, rust-proofing, interior protection, and paint protection (I really researched whether this was worth it -- and I assumed the package would be closer to $1,000 due to another quote from my dealer. I felt okay purchasing all of this at this price. I know some may disagree.)

Now to come up with a witty custom license plate... :)

im surprised nobody has chimed in on the plate thing, lol
seeing as you live in Iowa, probably a great idea on purchasing the protection package. i'd also say mud flaps, to protect from snow/slush/ice chunks. i can guarantee though, being on this forum, the mod bug will bite you after seeing everyone else's pictures. have fun with it!

Congratulations. Did you stay with the included 20-spoke painted silver (Borbet) wheels?

How about "PEARL"? (White Platinum looks like pearl white.)
Or "PLATINUM".
Maybe "PANDA" (for the eye liner look).
Kind of unimaginative, but "TITANIUM" might work.

I'm obviously not very good at this. If I do something dumb while I'm driving (though that is a rare occurrence) I don't like having anything too unique about my car for witnesses to notice, like a personalized plate. Besides, inanimate objects like cars don't like to have human attributes ascribed to them, including being given a name.

Am looking for some good deals on mud flaps on eBay now. Something to think about, definitely.
