Yeah, I thought about taking the panel off, but not sure I wanna yet since I don't know longer term what my plans are - still playing around with whether I like the phone mounted center, or left, or exactly what. So right now I've just got the cord dangling, but pondering an intermediate way to stick it down.

Thanks for the tips on the protection - I'll look into that. Preference on spray vs film?

the film is actually spray on now or you can get the old peel and stick stuff. but i believe the spray on will cover better and follow the contours of the car.

Yeah, spray does look a little easier to do, especially an area like that where there's not a ton of stuff to tape off and cover.
