New guy - my 2011 SES and some upgrades..

Hi folks,

Just did my first mods to my 2011... Found this forum and thought you may like them. Nothing big, butI think they help a lot.

First, my Stock tires had 56K on them and were just about bald... so I put my favorites on - General Altimax Arctic. In a bit larger size - 225/45 R17. I love rally so I think these are a perfect fit..

Next, out with the stock speakers - and in with a full set of Infinity Reference...

I also added an Infinity Basslink in the trunk... Thanks to some instructions I found on here on tapping into the rear speakers... worked perfectly and is a completely invisible addition.

Very nice!

What made you want new speakers? I actually think the stock ones sound pretty damn good!

Stock arent that bad, but very muddy midrange... they are just a full range with a whizzer cone. I'm just picky I suppose!

Everyone has their thing, I have a cheapo walmart amp powering a kicker comp 12 inch in the cheapest box I could find at the time. Bought it 4 or 5 years ago and everything is still working. I don't like much bass, I use it to improve the music not drown it out.

That being said I am loving the stock speakers with a little help from the sub.

Technically, yes... But I had some on my Mazda 3 for a couple years and they held up really well... So I did the same on the focus..
