2013 S Rear Disk Brakes

Be kind guys, this is my first post. I recently traded my 06 GT Mustang for a 2013 S Model (Wanted better economy and a smooth ride). I've already ordered the aftermarket cruise, center console and 17" factory wheels. My final issue would be rear disk brakes. Your thoughts????

Honestly, just leave it, spend your money on something that'll matter. Swapping from drums to disks wont get you any performance unless you're tracking the car or something.

Agree. Rear discs on front wheel drive compacts are mostly there for marketing purposes. No performance gain since the fronts do about 85% of the stopping work.

To the OP, do what you want, it is your money. Rusted out rear drums look like ass behind a nice set of 17" alloys. What looks even worse is painted rear drums behind nice 17" alloys. Fronts do 85% of the braking???WTF. More like 70% front 30% rear. On a spirited canyon run, you will be smoking those rear drums no prob. I would also get a set of SS braided brake lines for all 4. Look up the silencer removal thread and get a drop in K&N. To keep the stockish sound DO NOT remove the top of the air box.

Doesn't matter if it's FWD or RWD. I've had 4 wheel disc brakes since 1986 and I'll never buy another a car with drums. No performance gain? Think again, but that's not the only reason to get discs. Drums are an anacronism.

Condom principle applies. If it was me, I would rather have them and not need them, instead of need them and not have them.

The rear drums on my 2008 cobalt always used to get stuck on in winter. I understand wanting the upgrade.
