It takes very little modification effort to get perfect alignment with the Typhoon. You'll find that it's somewhat quieter when the MAF housing isn't touching the hole in the support.

I'll be installing soon. How long was installation process? Is there a noticeable increase in throttle response as advertised?

im going to say it took about a hour to take the stock out and put the new one in. the instructions it comes with are kinda hard to follow to me. as for the increase in throttle response im not sure it kinda feel about the same to me right now.

I would agree and say about an hour is what you'll need. There is a noticeable increase in throttle response, and a noticeable increase in pull at wide open throttle at high (4K+) RPM. However, it will tend to heatsoak more than the stock intake, so you may find that it "bogs" off the line a bit on hot days, especially after sitting and idling for a while. I actually just reinstalled the stock intake with an open-ended filter for this reason.

DO NOT over-tighten the filter.

For that money, Id say skip the CAI and get a K&N drop in and a motor mount if you're looking fr more response.

Over tighten in what respect? The mount or where the filter attaches?

Where the filter is mounted to the maf housing, don't over tighten it or you will end up cracking the maf housing. Then you'll have to get a new housing.

Where the filter clamps on to the plastic MAF housing. Tighten the clamp until you can't rotate the filter easily with your hand, then maybe a little bit more. It's best to start off loose, check it periodically and tighten a little bit more if you need to. If you over-tighten it, you will break the MAF housing.

No. The filter won't work in the factory intake.
