Rear Seats and Seat Tracks

This is what irks me about the car. You think they would have made covers to cover-up the seat hinges and the seat tracks especially when you move the seat all the way back like I do. The rear seat hinges are well...cheap. I was afraid for the first time I ever dropped them I was going to bend them. I still love the car :) Don't hate lol

Yeah, I really must explain myself better. I have a problem thinking everyone is on the same page as me :) Drop, meant when the rear seats fold down lol

1. The rear seat hinge bolts show.

2. The front seats tracks show. They do make covers for them. I see them in many cars

Makes the car feel "cheap" or "unfinished" Just an observation.

#YouveRanOutOfThingToWhineAbout

You realize even a 80K dollar Mercedes with split seats has an exposed seat rail, and the metal mounts for the rear seat cusions? All they do is cover them with plastic to match whatver interior you have, and those snap off.

Your tacks and hinges are made of solid metal, and it would be impossible to drop anything on them as it would hit the seat first and bounce onto the floor.

Also track covers for the rear seat get knocked off by passengers, why aren't you watching the road and not the floor?

Good lord some times I wonder if yall think you have a miss badged Ferrari because you paid more then 10K for a car.l

It was an observation. I can tell you I have an ES350 and IS250 and they have their quirks too. Do I think the front has issues no. In fact I think the whole dash layout is fantastic and believe it or not, I like it better than my IS250, except the seats :) I was commenting on those two obvious things I see everytime I get in the car. I was stating an opinion. No need to take it further IAM. For someone that lives in the Keys you should be mellow :)

I agree with you. I wish they had some sort of covers on them. After coming out of an IS350, I also agree with you on the dash design, much more impressive than the Lexus.

Im mellow but this is supposed to be an enthusiast site, yet all I see is people whining about how bad of a car it is, its missing this, its missing that, DTC sucks, Sync sucks, why doesnt my car have a 4 way screen, why doesnt my car have this, ect. It just gets old.

I love my car, and Im happy with it just the way it came. If a car had every thing every one wanted standard for what they paid, cars could cost a fortune and be filled with weird equipment.

Just saying your really reaching. Why dont you see if you can fab up covers or find some matching felt to go over these areas?

Who the heck is whining I am stating an opinion. Not whining. I learned a hell of a lot of things on this site I did not even know. Maybe somebody also figured out what I already mentioned. All I can say is your opinion matter as well. Besides being an enthusiast site, it is here to assist newbies (like myself) and discuss topics related to the Focus. I for one enjoy the "whining". One thing I learned about the "whining" there is always an answer at the end of the topic. You think this is whining? GO to the Lexus forums

Oh I know there is whining on a lexus forum, old people are never satisfied with the car being more like a camry and having less steering feel then most cruise ships.

Just saying your worrying about the rear seats mounts and brackets braking when youd have to basically smash them with a hammer to hurt them, its a bit illogical.

Opinions can be whining, and complaining, just because its an opinion never means its a good one, much like im sure you feel about mine
