this one made me giggle a lot...

Anyways... it worries me that these cars don't seem to like the mild mods (CAI/Exhaust.. tuning?) that much, I think I'll just leave it stock...

There is no proof of that, all of the data logging with torque has shown that the cars do not run lean unlike the previous belief that they did. There is nothing to show that his mods were the cause of the problem.

My thoughts exact! Besides tints and some wheels I'm just going it enjoy it stock for a while longer.

Yes, I know that there is no solid proof of that.
I just find it a bit suspicious that I think there are at least 3 blown engines in this forum with CAI/exhaust mods... or 2 not counting the one with headers.

And dozens or hundreds with ones that haven't not to mention hundreds of thousands of mk3s sold. Obviously do what you want with your car, and there is always some risk with modding, but unlike something like suspension clunk, there is too small a sample to say that modding is causing the issues.

I agree with you... I'm just giving my opinion based on the cases I have read on this forum. Obviously I can't talk about the other dozens of hundreds sold, nor have the data that proves one thing or the other. I would love to mod the hell out of my focus, I just can't take the risk based on my crappy warranty experience (DCT/suspension/steering rack).

I'm glad they didn't hassle you about your engine going.

My first engine had a cracked piston and since they replaced it the car consumes so much oil that I'm not driving it.

Yeah they didn't hassle me to much, they just took their sweet time. I've had more hassle from people here then from Ford.

That's the thread with my story so far.

They replaced my engine within 5 days and closest parts were 600+ miles away. Some came from the states. Did they say what took so long for yours?
