GR347WH173N0R7H's Focus Sport (30k mi to 0 mi)

I've had the focus for a year and a half and put on 30k. I drive the crap out of this car and love it! A month ago i had a little incident with my focus and the engine blew(completely blew out one main bearing and damaged the rest pretty bad.). Ya i dont think I have hear anyone else doing the main bearing but it did! After taking off a few of my mods, and replacing my shredded tires for the stock ones, i brought it to Ford. And guess what, Ford actually warrantied my whole engine! To put icing on the cake, instead of just giving me a refurbished long block (what Ford usually does), they gave me a brand new short block and cylinder head! Yeah that's right a whole brand spanking new engine! I went from 30k to 0 miles on my engine and its like christmas. It took literally a month to get done and after moving the estimated finish time 6 times over a week and a half, i finally got it back today. I couldn't be happier!!! (Oh and ford tried to void my warranty over my stickers .... like WTF)

Current Mods:
-FSWerks Stealth Exhaust
-Steeda CAI
-Steeda Front & Rear Sway Bar
-Steeda Short Throw Shifter
-Steeda Lowering Spring
-18" Sparco Assetto Gara (White)
w/ High Performance Summer Tires
-Drilled and Slotted Brakes
w/ Ceramic Pads
-JBR Rear Motor Mount
-5f/50r Tint
-JSC-Speed Mid Wing
-Rally Armor Mud Flaps (Off a WRX)
-Escort 8500 X50 Black

Yet another MK3 with a engine replacement. Deftmetal just had his engine replaced with a new engine and he is having several problems with the new engine too. At this rate it's really going to make the SPI look good.

From what it sounds like though this one blew under not normal operating conditions unlike deftmetal.

OP are you hinting that it was your fault that the engine blew?

So you'd like congratulations for abusing your car and fooling Ford into honoring what should be invalidated warranty?

Your clutch is "50% worn" after 30,000 miles? Whoa.

This does not surprise me. I'd love to have my clutch inspected. Although, the OP said he wasn't easy on this car.

The OP does have a 5 speed so may not be a parallel experience.

Just like anyone who's ever bragged about getting out of a speeding ticket or how they raced some Civic ricer and won on the street. Why should I even treat my car well if I know I can just beat it up and get my engine replaced?
