Warranty refund on trade in?

I purchased a 2012 Ford Fusion Sport 0n 4/23/12 with the following add ons:

72 mo / 125,000 maintenance plan $1875.00
72 mo / 125,000 extended warranty $1820.00
5 year tire, glass, dent coverage $292.00
Gap Insurance $429.00

How much can I expect to be refunded on a trade in? Do I need to go back to the original dealer?

Ken

I think you can call Ford ESP Sales at 877-794-6434 to talk about your options regarding the ESP plans you purchased. For everything else, though, this may need to be discussed when you sell or trade-in your new car at the dealer. If you plan to sell it yourself, I'd inquire with the ESP Sales staff as to who is your best contact. For now, I hope the number helps!

If you sell it yourself the extended service and warranty plans can be transferred (and thus are worth money to the purchaser) or you can get a prorated refund. (with mileage and months used..etc.)
Gap insurance??
The 5 yr dent etc never heard of.. is it a private insurance?

holy crap that was a lot of $$ in add on warranty type stuff.
I had a road hazard for wheel and tire warranty and a 5 year 75k I think that was a GE not Ford ESP.
I traded my 2013 focus for a 2013 MKZ at a different dealer. I had to go back to my original dealer but was only able to get a refund for my GE warranty but not the road hazard

but Gap insurance is the coverage between the depreciation of your car when it may be worth less than what you owe on it

If you cancel these service contracts before you trade it in, they will refund the money back to your lien holder (if there is one) and ultimately lower your payoff but if you trade the vehicle in prior to cancelling the contracts and ultimately working your higher payoff into the deal then when you cancel them YOU will get the money.
