Share first damage thread

I had a friend tell me that you will always remember the first scratch on your first new car. This is true for me.
My first (and only so far) damage was from the window tint installer. He scratched both quarter panels and sliced the window molding on the driver side door. Fortunately he paid for all repairs.

A stone hit my windshield and left a nice rock chip in the middle of the glass.

Usually here in The States, insurance companies will cover windshield damage. Is it the same way up north?

Where I am, no. I think most -if not all- of Canada's insurance companies don't cover windshield damage. They do cover the rest of the windows though.

Rock chip in the wind shield , plus some 'sandblasting' on front end and headlights from winter sanding of roads

As to insurance...yes we can buy windshield insurance, but the last few years it became very expensive. I dont carry it myself and on avg replace a windshield every second year and come out ahead as long as i dont have to do it more often than that.
Broken windows due to theft ,hail etc are all covered on comp ins but windshields are separate.

someone dinged my driver side rear door and recently someone gouged there key into my passenger side rear quarter panel for a two inch segment.

New york drivers are all and park as close as possible to you and don't give a f about anyones property.

I want to leave this state

wonder how long moderators will take to jump down your throat for this thread... i remember creating a similar thread, and they all basically found the sand in their vaginas. don't believe me? check it out:

http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=274771

asked an honest question and they responded with their "boredumb" thread now stickied on this forum. seen here:

as far as the original post, you can see it in my thread along with what other forumers have gone through. my solution is seen in this thread:

Hum, I'm sure it won't take long for this to get stickied too. I don't understand why, seems like most of what I have seem on here could be lumped into a general nonspecific thread also. Sorry for duplicating a thread, it must have been hidden somewhere (sarcasm).
