I LOVE my 2012. I have a five speed, and Yellow paint. The paint is not available after 2012..
So I am happy to keep my car.
(Ford is so stupid about not having many paint colors.. But so are most car companies They all are grey black white silver etc.. maybe one red ..)

Very happy with my 2012 Ti HB that was manufactured in May of 2012 -- about one year after the start of production for the 2012 model year. I've had a few MFT issues like everyone else but it's not bad and I've had no problems with the DCT at all.

2011 build SEL with no problems. No need to sympathize. Just as any car on the roads, there are bound to be problems, and loaners get abused. Mostly by people who don't know how to drive and expect all cars to behave like their own car. (this was not about the op).

Well, at one time it was "any color you want so long as it is black." To Ford's credit, not many people buy the brighter colors like yours, and they do offer TWO kinds of red (Candy/Ruby, Race) and TWO blues (Sonic/Performance, Candy). You should be happy they dropped your color after 2012, 'cause now it will be even more distinctive. (Same with Frosted Glass.) That's one thing some 2012 owners don't need sympathy over.

(I'm happy with my "urban camouflage" gray that blends into a crowd -- the way a school of fish gives some protection by confusing predators.)

While I was trying to decide what style, trim, and option packages I wanted to buy I test drove a used 2014 with a manual trans and around 5,000 miles, and then a used 2012 with a DCT and over 50,000 miles that was a rental return. I was amazed at how solid the 2012 felt, including the DCT. Anyone who was unaware of the problems discussed in so many threads here would not have been afraid to buy that 2012 for the right price. It was a short test drive (~2 miles), but I still expected the 2012 to feel at least a little worn out. No tellin' how it will hold up when driven more.

I have to agree. A common bland color is much better for driving.. Especially if speeding.

My car is a total 'flag waving' "Here I Am!!"
If I was speeding and I saw a radar in my old car I would change lanes immediately. Sometimes it worked if there was any traffic.
In my YELLOW little monster.. no way.
I am trying to not speed anymore.. This being Spring I am failing a bit...

Same here Brian, May 25 2012 build date. 30,000 miles no problems. DCT a little quirky at first (seemed to be) but is quiet as a mouse now. It actually pulls away really strong from a light in sport mode :)

i agree in sport mode or 'self shifting' sport mode, it pulls nicely with none of the lag found when letting off the gas to make a moving turn and then back on the gas once the turn is completed, as it does in D.

I basically use D for only hwy driving... around town i always use S or self shift, if i feel like it that day, and can't see much diff in mileage but do see a def benefit in performance of the DCT.
