This made me realize I've never tried mine, but it took in a disk with no problem. Any chance there's already a CD in yours?

It will show what gear you are in when you are in the SelectShift mode, is that what you're talking about? I was thinking you meant that it would display the gear when you were in D or regular S.

Congratulations, I hope that you get the CD issue fixed quickly and painlessly and sorry for hijacking your thread

Yeah, maybe that was what I was thinking. Nevertheless, I can't see why that info display can't be used to show speed and gear.

Agreed, it is a little odd.

Especially since if you put that screen into Service/Test mode, you can have it show the digital speed. The info is thus available to the screen...they just need to make it a display option. How hard could it be?

It was loaded; heated butt grabbing seats, moon roof, split automatic temperature controls, etc. And it drove real nice, smooth and quiet cruise, very quick and road hugging. A little more than I want to spend, but it has got me really thinking. I need to straighten out some financial issues, but I think this is a car I could live with for a long time. Ford really put a nice total package together.

Is there a antidote or should I quit looking at Mustangs?
Quit looking at Mustangs. The Focus handles better than the Mustang. Straight-line speed is boring. Enjoy the curves.

Hello - third day with my new Focus ST/ST3 - what's a Mustang?

When I push eject, it says there is no CD, but it looks like there is packing material in there(?).

What?

A V6 Mustang would own a ST on a drag strip and is no slouch on a road course.
