The more mounts you have the more balanced the drivetrain mount system. Only having 1 mount most times leads to a lot of vibs, as one mount is trying to stop motion, where as the other ones are allowing it. Bang, bang it goes. All mounts means no movement so it cannot get the force up to create as much vibs.

Not asking about vibes so much as the shifting itself. I have to really work for a gentle shift now, anything quick is pretty harsh. I'm wondering how much worse it gets with both, and as pricey as this mount is I don't want to guess.

This mount is very similar to the Focus ST, it is the #1 rated mount for them, they know it is worth the price is cost. Bushing is the same in their mounts as this one also. Both engines are 2.0L, just theirs are turbo'd. Focus ST members typically always get all 3 mounts, as they also feel it is the least amount of added vibs, with the most engine motion control.

Your transmission is cable shifted, if you have a stock clutch, you should not noticed ANY difference in harsh shifting, if anything it should feel more crisp, less slopping, but not THUGS.

TTR, from a review on your site:

Except for idle, the engine sounds more like a small-block V8 than a 2.0 liter four.
Why is this?

Thanks for the replies. One more question, 3 mounts? There's this one, then the rear one, and where's the other one?

Lack of other mounts... ST guys start with a lower, then add upper. Just an upper maybe the feeling

Given 5 stars that customer meant it as a good thing, exhaust will do this also... Make louder

Yeah, I got that they meant it as a positive thing. I am just curious as to why a motor mount would change the engine sound. I don't think I experienced this with my RMM.
