+1 Haven't read a lot about tires so this thread came in handy. Thanks OP and repliers.

If you're going to be driving in the snow knock the DWs off the list now. D=dry, W=wet, S=snow. One thing that I really love about these is the DWS performance indicator on the tread.

I've been paying close attention to those and see what mileage they start to wear at.

That's an old pic from when I was painting the calipers so maybe only a couple thousand but I'll take a pic of them with their current 10,000 miles.

I am looking to get rid of my OEM continental 17's and am looking for suggestions for a good all season tire.

I am specifically looking at Goodyear Assurance ComforTred or Goodyear Assurance TripleTred. Does anyone have any experience with these tires? I am particularly interested in the snow and ice traction of these tires.

All recommendations are welcome though!
I have Goodyear assurance tires on my civic and they are pretty much exactly like tje OEM contis on our focus. I changed my contis for conti dws and do not regret it

After they were about halfway worn though, you can pretty much going any faster than about 50 in the rain- they hydroplane worse than a jetski.

Did I love them when I had them? Yep. Would I buy them again? Nope, especially not for the insane amount of money they command. I spent almost $1k for the TripleTreads..

Oh, to be young and rich again..
I had triple treads on my civic before the assurance tires and I hated the triple treads. After, only 18k or so miles they were worn, with easy driving, and them boomed terribly. Very noisy and very bad in rain and snow IMO

Yeah, they wore out shockingly fast- if memory serves me right, I only got about 30k out of them, with mostly highway driving. Not a good cost/benefit ratio..
