What size injectors is everyone running

Just seeing what everyones running on there turbo focis im running 42lb green tops but thinking of bumping it up

I'm running greens and N/A.

BTW, control of the injector is what you should also be looking at. So long as you're able to control it well, there is no injector too big (within reason).

if your building a motor its obvious you don't want low power goals. so might as well use 60# from decca siemens

60's are enough for pump gas @ 20psi but if you are going for race gas get the 80's.

You can calculate fuel requirements for a turbo or NA motor pretty simply using the following equations:
NA = ~.5lb/HP --> 200hp*.5 = 100lb/hr / 4 injs = 25lb/Hr (Stock are 29lb)
Turbo ~.65lb/hp --> 200hp*.65 = 130lb/hr / 4 injs = 32.5lb/Hr
Turbo ~.65lb/hp --> 400hp*.65 = 260lb/hr / 4 injs = 65lb/Hr
Turbo ~.60lb/hp --> 400hp*.60 = 240lb/hr / 4 injs = 60lb/hr

The basis of the calculation is brake specific horsepower (dyno calculated) that is typically .5 lb/Hp for a NA motor. The lower the number, the more efficient the engine is at converting fuel energy to horsepower.

For a turbo motor the BSFC goes up due to the richer requirements to protect the engine from detonation and exhaust cooling. Typically 10.5 to 11:1 AF is about .60 to .65 bsfc, which requires a larger injector to supply the required AF ratio.

Bigger injectors typically don't idle as well, but that can be due to cone angle. Narrow cone angles get most fuel into the cyl without wetting the wall, but at idle a wider cone typically helps idle...

I don't think I would go to 80lb injectors for 400hp, but 60lb's is pretty much at the limit to ensure you can get the AF you need to protect the motor.
Increasing the fuel pressure can help get more flow out of the injector. Typically the injector flow sheets can show you how much you need.

^ wrong. For the part that bigger injectors typically have idling issues. If you have a good quality injector and a good tuner you won't have any issues. My setup on stock motor I have 1200cc(114lbs) injectors, I won't have any idling issues.
