It would be pretty scary to drive such a car, no?

Could you imagine what could happen if a steering related component failed while you are driving along on a mountain road? I can.

Don't take the Infinity Q50 for a test drive if that's how you feel. Infinity is gradually phasing out traditional steering in favor of a steer-by-wire system, that essentially eliminates the wheel-to-tires relationship. There's a fail-safe system in place to prevent you from careening off the side of the mountain should the system die, but the reviews about the system itself haven't been very favorable yet.

Take a look for yourself, at about halfway through MotorTrend's article.

My '12 SE w/ sport package had the "crooked" wheel as described here as well right from the factory. This issued was fixed after the steering rack and gear were replaced per TSB 12-02-17. The car''s tracked straight as an arrow ever since.

Mine has the same issue, it's off by maybe just a few degrees, but it's off. Actually caused me a lot of confusion the first 1000 miles because I found myself frequently drifting into the center line on highways. At first I thought it was my driving but now I know better.

Hi 13ingothatch,

Are you still experiencing symptoms? Let me know and I'll look into available options.

Hi jcw122,

Have you been to the dealer for inspection? Let me know when you do; I'll check out next steps.

Todd

Nope, it's been a negligible issue for now, but I'll probably mention it on my first oil change/service. I'll let u know, thanks.

So since I had my tires rotated a few weeks ago the issue went away. So it must be on of the tires that was on the front of the car and now on the rear. I hope the issue doesn't return when I have them rotated again.
