Original MSRP on 06 SES SAP

Hey all. I'm in a bit of a dog fight with my local Secretary of State office. My Foci's license renewal came in more expensive than my 2010 Malibu LTZ, which is total BS as supposedly the state of Michigan charges license plate fees based on original MSRP from Ford. I know the Street Appearance Package added $1295.00, but I just can't seem to find what the price on my ride was from the factory. The 'Bu's window sticker has it coming in at almost $28K new, so it's so far beyond thinking an 06 Foci could cost more. Any help would be super appreciated. Peace, John

MSN autos says $15k abouts: http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/pr...101053#trimsel

AOL autos says the same: http://autos.aol.com/cars-Ford-Focus...ES__4dr_Sedan/

That's crazy, I'd be hard pressed to see a focus today that costs that much without buying the st or something.

I think I might stop by the Ford stealership next week with it and see what they can do for me. The VIN might hold the key. I know you can get a copy of the original window sticker from GM, but I've never heard anything like that from Ford. Peace, John
