Now that we have quad display we just need to find a TSB that somehow gets the euro spec software on there. I want the instant MPG readout next. :) Anyone have any thoughts on getting that?

That one's not going to happen any time soon (getting the european spec software with fuel consumption in gal/hr or l/hr). It's not an instant fuel economy readout, it was a fuel consumption rate meter.

Oh, I was mistaken then, I wasn't aware it was consumption rate. Though that would be neat as well... *Sigh* It's as shame Europe gets all the cool features.

I don't think I'll ever get over the U.S cars not getting the ability to roll down the windows with the fob... I wanted that so bad for the summer.

If you really want/need this feature, you can get an Ultragauge which will provide that and much much more. I love mine.

That is a neat piece of tech, but I prefer not to add electronic, or really any, mods to my cars. I like keeping things stock, especially while under warranty. It's also just something I get frustrated with Ford over because its offered on some cars and not others for seemingly no reason!

The Ultragauge just plugs into the OBD II port. Unplug it before you go to the dealer and you are back to stock.

Great product - I use it for RPM and coolant temp on my 2002, but nothing I'd need it for on a MK3 Focus - except maybe coolant temp b/c the stock gauge is highly inaccurate.

If you get one, you want to get the new 1.2 version - the older one will drain the battery on the Focus overnight b/c the cars electronics won't go to sleep with it connected.

This X2!

And yes, the MK3 temp gauge is worthless..

Hmmm, I hadn't read deeply enough to see how it hooked up. That would be alright then. Kind of just rubs in your face though that the car is tracking all that info and just not giving you a way to access it :P

Worthless in what way exactly? How inaccurate are we talking? Should I not trust it at all, is it even good enough for letting me know the car isn't over-heating?

Well, when the temp gauge looks like it's at operating temp (i.e. In the "middle"), the actual temp can vary from 120 - 212 degrees based on my Ultragauge. To me that in an inaccurate 'worthless' gauge.

I cannot comment as to if it would/would not work in an over heating situation, as I have not had one.
