. . . it turns out they are kinda useful outside the car . . . where we live much of our lives.

Please. Let's keep this about the in-car technology and not about why you're mad about things you don't have.

Did that make sense in your own head when you wrote it?

Is that really the best you could do?
Bless your heart.

You clearly own a car with Bluetooth connectivity. Are you trying to say that you don't own a smart phone or at the very least a touch-screen feature phone of some kind?

Pff, you probably listen to the radio & have a collection of CD's clipped to the visor like it's still 1999...

In all seriousness.... Get with the program people! Technology moves faster than we can think and automakers are holding up the natural progression of things with their limited scope of hardware and software. The sooner they set a standard to which all in-car systems are created, the sooner they can put the user experience in the hands of the mobile designers (You know, the people who specialize in this kind of thing) rather than the software engineers who work out of a basement designing a single mediocre product for a million different people.

I'm not trying to say that, I AM saying that. Sorry no CD's.

I just don't have the need to spend that much money on a phone to begin with and then pay more monthly. To me it's a phone. With BT I have my phone and my music and my Nav.

It makes perfect sense. As you post from your Galaxy Bloat 2; It's clear you are not a fan of Apple regardless of the fact that their actions clearly have no direct impact on your life.

Maybe if Apple products were a bit bulkier and came with a stylus you'd like them more and the argument would be moot....
