After years of the heatsheild being off the clear coat on my hood started cracking. The higher you can get the car off the ground the better.

THEY SAID IT COULDN'T BE DONE!

Kidding of course, I'm just glad it actually worked. I removed the fans to get some more room, and had the front end way in the air. It certainly wasn't the easiest approach, and I'm sure I could have gotten the wrap tighter and more evenly spaced with it removed, but all in all it wasn't that bad. The worst part is feeding 50 ft of wrap through on every single turn. It got caught on sharp things a few times and started to fray a bit, but held together well enough. Once I got to the part where the header started to merge, I went under the car. Much easier and more comfortable laying down there.

Underhood temps are improved, but not a whole lot. I also wrapped and installed a Jay Racing HFC at the same time.

The easiest way to wrap a header is to buy one already done from a member and install it.

I needed a another header and that was the ONLY used header at the time. It's been a few years need to rewrap it now, I can probably just rewrap the bottom where it scrapes stuff. Anyway it's good to know I can do it on the car.

Yeah when I took my header out to get ceramic coated it was a pita. I also replaced the header bolts with the stainless ARP bolts, not messing with rust.

Nicely done though

I wrapped mine with the fans still in and everything. I managed to squeeze the heat shield out, and more impressive was i squeezed it back in too!
