That's what I thought... I wonder if I could paint the mount body color grey and it not melt... I'm just afraid if I did it would get to hot since it is right next to the engine.

The gloss black goes well with most any car color.

Guess this gets added to the list of things to get... Hey Aaron, the color option "Silver Metallic" is that close to the Sterling Grey color of our cars or is it a lighter silver? I would love to have one that is either close or Sterling Grey with a black bushing.
I have a DCT.

I don't think a silver mount would match a silver car close enough to work, it would probably look weird...I would go for contrasting colors, or pick a different color for the base and silver for the mount (that attaches to the motor) as the color difference will be less noticeable.

You could get custom G2 caliper paint color matched but it would be a $100 and is good to 900 degrees.

Agree with you that's why gloss black works so well

Just placed an order for a matt Black with red bushing using USPS snail mail. Hope to get it in 2 weeks :) Will post a review when I install it. All mounts are stock

My theory: This upper mount with the stock lower mount will be harsher but will allow less engine movement as opposed to a stock upper mount and the E-Focus lower mount.

Again, I will either validate this or not, will wait till I install and drive it to work and back a few days.
