Gauge Cluster Jumps Around

Hey svt guys i could use some help i have a friend who drives a 03 svt im doin some motor work for him he came to me with a few problems his car was killing batteries and his gauges wont sit still after looking at his car i saw his his alt was fried i replaced the alt also to find his tensioner was locked up so i replaced that too now his battery and alt prob is taken care of but his gauges still bounce around before i rip his entire car apart looking for elec issues can anybody maybe start me off in the right direction Thanks in advance

Check the wiring from the body to the hatch, Over time the wires tent to wear on the body and cause shorts. While there is no wiring directly related to the gauge cluster back there, a short in something else could be causing problems with the ecu.

alright ill start there also the abs and trac control light pops on he had a bad master cylinder we replaced that and the lights went off ... now they are back on but my code reader doesnt pick up on anything besides a bad O2 that we already know about
