if 3978 is what svt told you, thats the build number. they evidently didnt produce all the sonic blue cars at once but spit the production up producing some at the beginnibg and some at the end of the run.

I'm still trying to figure out how close to the end of the line mine was. its 1978 of 1978 for the 3 doors, but i want to know what number it is out of the 3 & 5 doors combined! SVT could only tell me my number for the 3 doors.....I can't believe they don't have a record of what went out the last day of production cause thats when mine was made; April 22, 2004. same day of the last 5 door. I know my car HAD to have been within viewing distance of the last one, I just want to know haw close mine was. Drives me nuts sometimes..........

actually, if svt gave you your build number as 1978, your not close to the end, there were 3057 cars built that year and build numbers are consecutive out the door.

well for my year looks like I am 1 in 1010. Which is pretty rare but red is one of the more popular ones I guess. Need to find my damn COA.

SVT told me that the last day the svtf was built was on april 22, 2004, the day mine was built. my car #1978 (the last 3-door) and #1079 (the last 5-door) were built on the 22 of april, 2004.....that means mine HAD to be close to the end of the production line (the last day, to be exact). when they made them the 3 & 5-doors had to be on the line at the SAME TIME!don't mean to sound angry, but i am on percoset for a hand injury, and i can't believe nobody knows at SVT what order the cars were built!
They can tell me that the last 5-door was after mine though! |
