Cracked rear arm

Just to share my story on this. This week-end I was replacing the rear drum brakes on my wife's car (2007 ZXW with 120,000 km). After going for a test drive, I felt a drag on the passenger side. So back up on jack stands, and while looking under to seek the problem, I came upon the rear lower control arm and paid a bit more attention just to see a crack near the adjuster bolts (on both side). So this morning I went under to remove them to have a closer look (and to replace them) and to my amazement one side almost tore out while removing it.

Just on phrase : TANK GOD I SAW THIS BEFORE IT WAS TOO LATE

You can see that the other one had some cracks too

sounds like you decided on a good time to do the brakes and take a look under the car. I dont even want to think about what could of happened if you didnt catch that.

good job getting those replaced

Wow, never have seen a arm crack in that place & both arms too. snow, salt & rust doesn't help.

Finally it's back on the road, all(most) brand new. Next I need to find me a good cheap set of upper adjustable arm's, to correct the off-spec camber. That's for later this fall, no time for this now.

If your looking for the cheapest camber adjustment= hit up a set of camber bolts or hit up the b& sell section for camber arms.
