Mtx75 clutch swap

Just trying to figure out if a 5spd Mazda 3 clutch will crossover to the current 5spd Focus. Any help or diagram pictures would be great especially with a prototype clutch masters clutch I'm helping make.

Less slip? Doesn't make sense I me how it will increase performance... They're softer so you may gain like .05 seconds on 0-60 they wear out faster? So can you please explain what the benefits are. I know nothing on the subject and won't pretend to I just want an answer lol

Well for starters, the stock throw out bearing on mine is and always was trash. It was noisy and makes bad sounds when I shift and Ford was reluctant to fix it under warranty, said it was normal. I call bullshit and am on a mission to prove a point plus the factors of adding a turbo system amongst other mods that increas horsepower and torques to 300+ you need a stronger clutch. Plus, I will not be racing mine so the clutch won't wear out any faster than a normal one would.

Your TOB rattle when in neutral occasionally? How would a clutch fix that?

Yeah and the new clutch setup I'm getting made has a new stronger more durable one. That's why I'm trying to see if mazda has a matching clutch assembly because if they do I'm swapping

If there's a rattle when the clutch is engaged (out) in neutral, it would either be a pilot bearing or the normal MTX75 gear rollover noise. A bad throwout bearing makes noise when pressure is applied to it. Pressure is only applied to the throwout bearing when the clutch is disengaged (depressed/pushed in). As the clutch is disengaged, a bad throwout bearing will make a chirping or squealing noise. Gear rollover noise (rattle) with the clutch engaged in neutral is a very common occurrence with this transmission--more so in the earlier Focus models, but I've heard it on occasion from my MK3 also.

Mine makes the noise that sounds like crunching when I let it off and releases super high and its ungodly loud when I'm backing up and put the clutch down. I need a higher grade anyways for the turbo kit I'm working on

I wouldn't expect a throwout bearing to be your issue...
