Just saw this done on some Range Rover interior parts on Wheeler Dealers tonight. Looks amazing.

Stuff is cool but the hydro cf gives a cf "look" which is not bad but not as nice as real cf. Even the vinyl cf usually looks more realistic in person. But the hydro stuff is durable and you don't have to worry about it tearing or adhesive wearing off like you do with vinyl. Its not cheap either.

It's as durable as a paintjob, since the PVA film goes on top of a base coat and gets a clearcoat ove it. I have a rifle that is hydrodipped in realtree camo, it's more durable than rattle can paint but not as good as powdercoating.

It can be great for interior pieces and engine stuff. But if you do dip then you can't mix other parts in real cf or vinyl cuz it won't match at all. But you can dip things fairly easily that would be a total pain to try vinyl such as vent rings and the Speedo bezel surround. Just a shame it wasn't a little cheaper to do.
