Hey folks!

If you're currently experiencing any kind of leak or standing water, your next stop should be the dealership so they can check this out. As always, I'm happy to do what I can to help; send me your information and I'll look into options to assist. In your PM to me, please include your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name.

I just got back from my ford dealer with this issue. I saw it on here when it happened to me so I sent the ford rep my info and they got ro right away. Impressed.
The dealer told me that this water is the result of rain water leaking into the door then running out of the drain holes in the bottom of the door and that it is normal. He said to make sure the drains stay clean and dont get clogged and it wont cause a problem.

Hahaha, I would expect nothing less from Ford service at this point "it is normal" lol. Why I don't even bother bringing my car in for problems that should be fixed anymore. I already know that they'll just say "it's normal", what a joke.

Customer: my focus exploded in my driveway in a giant fireball that consumed my car and my garage:

Ford dealer: why Yessir, that is how Ford designed the car to operate. It is completely normal. Now, who's next in line? Anyone need an oil change?

Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 using FF Mobile.

Most accurate thing I've read all day.

noticed it yesterday after washing the car. open the door and water runs out. do you have a lot of wind noise on the freeway as well from windows? I think the seal on my car is bad, going to have Ford look at it on my 5,000 mile check-in.

I understand this post is old, but on most cars they have "wet" doors. Which means water runs thru the door to the ground. There are slots at the bottom covered by the seal. They usually get clogged, very easy clean them out.

But I don't think this is the case of your newer focus' seems to new to get clogged. My guess is the openings at the bottom my be to small if they have them, I haven't looked, just throwing out ideas.

Did anyone get this successfully resolved at the dealership? I'm having this same issue in the passenger side front door. After a heavy rain or car wash, a lot of water comes out when the door is opened. Last week I went to open the door and it was nearly frozen shut because the water in the door froze overnight!
