Trade automatic for manual?

Think anyone would be interested in trading a manual transmission for my automatic transmission? Ive tried swapping out with dealerships for even trades but they all try and weasel their way around. My focus has ~45k miles on it and I'm looking for one with less miles but as a five speed. Mine has the all weather package, heated seats, tinted windows, and remote start. I think it'd be a worthy trade, right?

That many miles, and I bet you'd have to trade down majorly to get anywhere near an even trade. So your nearly loaded '12 with 45k might be worth as much as a '13 S base with a 5 speed, depending on your original downpayment and purchase price.

I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum list lol I wasn't even paying attention. >_<

Secondly, my car is paid for. I bought it back in march of 2011 cash. I'm willing to downgrade a little for lower miles and a 5 speed transmission. Just can't find anyone who would do it.

Why not sell yours outright and then buy a used manual? Should be close in terms of prices.

Unfortunately on a new car if financed, your going to take a bath on trading, and you do have high millage. Your best bet is to buy another new one and roll in the debt/ difference and accept you'll have a higher car payment.
