Well, went out, THEN it finally started raining! Go figure!

So I got these, then had to pack it in.

Dang rain. This woulda come out better getting rid of the reflections and what not

Also, I just noticed that they used sticky weights to balance, is there a particular reason they'ed used that as appose to clamp on the inner edge? Just wondering as I don't remember seeing sticky weights on other's photos...

The weights can be a little more accurate as they can place the weight anywhere along the barrel for a better balance. And I totally understand your sentiments with the brakes. That's the first thing I noticed when I mounted mine. I didn't realize how ugly they were until I had a nice wheel mounted. G2, here I come.

The anthracite looks awesome on your car! Congrats!

What do ya'll think? ...
Looks like you skipped Walmart and went for the Jimmy Choo "Vicky" metallics. (Do those come in anthracite, too?) Why is it when anything you're shopping for calls your name, it's always stretches the upper end of the budget?

Lots of jokes are made about women and collecting expensive shoes (Imelda Marcos, Carrie Bradshaw), but I can't be the only guy who would like to have several sets of wheels and tires for my car and change them around occassionally, just for variety -- if it wasn't so expensive. If you have to pick just one set, I'd say that's them right there.

I have two sets, the OEM which will house winter tires and the TD's for summer use. I want at least one more set (which would be 19x9), but luckily it's not like collecting watches-eventually, you will run out of storage space.

Maybe a set of 17's for travel as well...

Haha... Don't get me wrong, I love ma shoes! BUT, I have an unhealthy thing for vintage brown leather shoes. Literally, all my shoes are brown shades. Vintage wingtips, vintage alpine hikers, vintage square toe knee highs. I think I have a black pair for occasions, that's it. :) everyone THINKS my shoes are all the same, but I know better. Sooo... If I was allowed to have more wheels, I'd probably have these, the PR 3's in anthracite, Motegi MR125 in titanium, and TD PR 1.2S with red or yellow stripe.. You know, for occasions.

But yeah, I liked these best because they seemed like the best all around fit. Still liked the others the tire shop was showing me- in the pictures, but I tracked them all down locally to see it in person, and yeah, no. Looked better in the picture. Still really dig two tone wheels though. Liked the motegi's a lot, but the style is real common around Tampa, I wanna be different.

^and beside the cost! That is exactly why I can only have one set. We have a 1000sq ft house with no garage (you only seem to get garages for major markup or living in a deed restricted subdivion here). I sold my other set on CL for cheap, but before that, they became the coffee table for a few days :D

I'm trying to talk my husband into a set of TD wheels, so I can steal and swap em when he's not looking. But he has fresh tires on his OE's which are 16's and would rather wait to need new tires and move up to 17's then.

Yeah- after having these, I'm totally a TD convert. Really exceptional quality, which is even harder to find for our lug configuration. These make the first few I was looking at look like toys.

No problem for me. I'd run out of budget sooner.

This is escalating quickly. lol

Wheels and drop look good, I always prefer the stick on weights better than the unsightly clamp on weights that corrode and ruin a wheels finish.
