tuning qs for d20 w d23 head.

I just want to have my bases covered, i just bought a 2.3 head for my car and i want to get stage 1 cams and keep using my 2.0 intake manifold.

Can i tune it strickly with sct Tyner

Semi, but ive been looking through forums for awhile now and just wondering because im purchasing the sct tuner. Should i just send it off to get tuned?

You buying it new or used? Used, make sure its unlocked.

i would buy a tuner from FSwerks or 1TurboFocus (Tom). Their tuner will include a tune for your car....for about the same price of the tuner. Get a wideband, then you can send accurate datalogs back to the tuner for adjustment.

To answer your question yes you can fully tune it with a XCAL3 and a custom tune

It would kind of defeat the 2.3 head to install the 2.0 intake on it , I would also do the 2.3 intake manifold , good header and Exh , would surface the 2.3 head slightly as well

Tom, what's the maximum thickness of surface we can take from the head? 0,5mm is possible??

5mm = +/- .020 yes you could go that far easy
