From there, it's just a run underneath the weatherstripping to inside the OBD2 door to the center stack. The box is just temporarily behind the MFT screen for now but going to reposition it later nearer the center console access panel.
Thanks, that is useful. I can adapt or simply trade my sedan for a hatchback and do exactly what you did.

So it doesn't look like IR camera's are overly expensive. Not sure what problems you would have.
The only "problems" I had observed in my searching was that
1. most of the IR cameras, like the one you posted are mirrored, meaning that if you use them in the front of your car, the image will be backward. This can be solved for looking for a non-mirrored camera. (Not a big deal)
2. And the other thing I noticed, was that even with the IRs the amount of light they provide (without your headlights) is almost useless. (<5feet visibility). This could also be solved with more IR leds but in my prompt searchin i couldnt find a good one.
I guess these are just observations and if you know a way to over come these, I would love your suggestions!
Still think that a foward camera is cool, but I want it to be somewhat flush with the car and I dont want to have to drill.
Also silver pony, I think your right about the camera source power, and personally I didnt want to have to add a fuse! keep the posts comming!

My car has the camera connected to the stock SYNC (not MFT) radio. I'm kind of interested in how it's wired (and if it's possible for someone to hook up an aftermarket camera to this screen/radio):

Yeah, I'll have to take out the radio sometime to see how it's connected. The video processing/park assist is being done by the same module in the back as the titanium, but I don't know how the video is coming into the radio and overlaying the radio information.

This is a pretty rare factory setup, only available in Canada in 2013 (and there were only two SE sedans with the parking package and no MFT in all of BC when I factory ordered my car).

Ford itself doesn't know much about this set up - I've been talking with them to get the active guidelines turned on, since my radio doesn't have the MFT camera settings menu.

Edit: This is why I was surprised when flingwing1969 said he saw SEs with cameras in California. This is rare in Canada, and isn't on the 2013 order guide for the US at all.

Yes, the Lock Pick 2 is specifically for the MFT Focus - it is simply a wired harness and processor that is plugged in between the car's MFT circuit and the MFT screen.

Hey OP, if you haven't done this already you might be able to tap into the fuse box at the back of your hatch. http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...55&postcount=2

I'm not sure how you're powering the cam but figured I'd throw this out there in case one of these spots would give you the power you need.
