Upgrades help!

Hi guys, I drive a 2003 Focus Zetec, (you call them ZX3 in the US) and I'm after some upgrades for my car. I want general performance overall and want really good acceleration. Can you give me some ideas on what to do, the car is completely stock so it's a blank canvas, except for a pod filter.
Any ideas would be perfect!!

Welcome to the forum. I would start by looking at the Zetec Performance stickied Threads, at the top section of the board. That gives a lot of good advice and ideas for what you are wanting.

I have a 2002 ZTW. The First thing I did was strap on a Short Ram Intake air filter system. BIG difference and sounds awesome. I replaced my exhaust with 4 in to 1 headers bypassing the Cat and running a Dynomax muffler. It gave me much more higher RPM power but was expensive. Money for the buck is questionable. But the intake is a must.
I also put on a Massive underdrive pully. I hardly noticed any difference at all.

You will have to be careful when you look here your zetec is a little bit different than ours if I remember correctly because the engine labeled zetec-s is more like our duratec and your duratec(found in the RS focus) is actually a zetec.
2003 Ford Focus ZX3("FUBARCUS" was "Brokus") - old and still busted
2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5i - current DD
