Exclamation Mk3 Performance Blue Build Thread

I make this thread to alleviate all the complaints I get for not having a build thread. So...to those people (Duane and James)...HA!

I bought a 2013 PB Titanium Hatchback in September of 2012 after my 2008 Nissan Alitma decided to grow mold and make my family and I sick.

My insurance company eventually totaled it out. Megan was my contact with insurance and helped throughout the entire process. I, in turn, named my new Focus after her.

The day I brought her home:

Having two little boys, and the fact that I work from my car, I promptly bought some Husky liners. As a matter of fact the mats arrived before the car:

I also ordered some G2 caliper paint:

The nice heat and sun here in OK was an immediate indication to tint the windows. 20% all the way around, 5% brow, and 50% front windshield:

Front windshield:

Front windshield compared to 20% side window:

Front windshield compared to side window down:

Let's be honest with one another, shall we? The sedan is "meh" and the hatch is where it's at. However, those tails are big and without the appropriate body color, they look out of place.

I tinted mine:

I left the actual running light (taillight) and the reverse light un-tinted to improve the visibility:

Third brake light was also tinted:

Next on my agenda was a snorkel delete and K&N drop in.

The link to the thread and related material can be found here:

http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...hlight=snorkel

I felt a noticeable enough increase in the butt dyno and facial muscles to leave the snorkel out.

*I have exclusively run 91 E0 gas since the first tank was gone.

I love lamp.

Wait. I love LEDs. So, I started swapping those bulbs out. The link to that lighting thread can be found here:

I swapped the marker lights for blue LEDs:

Swapped, did I also, the courtesy lights under the mirrors:

I swapped the fog lights for some 4300k Hella H11 bulbs:

I swapped the headlight bulbs for brighter Sylvania bulbs:

Winter was coming...

I didn't want to run the PS3s in the cold, so I ordered some Falken ZE-329 A/S tires. I went up in size to a 245/40r18 in order to provide better rim protection.

Yes, I realize the larger tread is not good in snow. I also realize we get snow like twice a year. I bought these tires for their A/S capabilities not for a "winter tire."

As the above picture shows I also ordered some Ventvisor window thingies.

Not only do I love lamp, I also love to mountain bike. So I had to get a rack.

I'm pretty sure that I did other stuffs to Megan before I got the Eibach Sportlines...but I no can find pics. That's what I get for not starting this thread from the onset. Le sigh.

I bought Sportlines. THANKS RAY!

It was a good thing I did because the morning of the day that I decided to install I hit a large piece of sheet metal as it came flying off the back of a pickup truck.

I thought I missed it but that apparently wasn't the case:

^^THAT sucked. I got the rears installed and after pulling the front D/S wheel I noticed it. I decided to let the dealership not only replace it but also to have then do the front springs while they were all up in there.

This is in the parking lot immediately proceeding the install (forgive the ugliness of that sedan's rear :

Then I got this:

Good thing I'm pointing to the box, or you may have thought...nevermind.

The goodness from China was within:

I ordered the reproduction ST3 headlights. You can see my write-up and review here:
