I agree with viper. Just keep the SRI. I had an AEM CAI on my car for almost 5 years and just recently changed it. If you live in a place that gets alot of rain it can be bad for it. I was in the south where it rains hard when it rains and i was having a problem with gas mileage cause even though i wouldn't drive through big puddles it would still get wet being right in front of the tire and close to the ground. I get way better mileage with the Steeda SRI i just installed.

As to the Suspension upgrade, I have done just about everything i can to my car without going forced induction to include full Eibach suspension. I have the front and back sway bars and i can say that tighten up the car like crazy from stock. ya stock is good but man it tightened it up.

Good luck with the new car and sorry to hear about your friend. have fun with it though they are awesome cars.

I recently changed over from a CAI to a SRI because this is my DD and was concerned with having to watch puddles, etc when driving. To be honest, I see no change in performance and if anything, the car runs better since it isn't sucking all the dirt and dust down low. Of course, some would counter that putting a pre filter on would eliminate that issue. I did it more for piece of mind and am totally happy with my decision.

I'm going to end up keeping it. My mechanic told me the same thing about the CAI. I did find out that it's a Steeda SRI, so I'm happy about that. Just cleaned the filter today with some K & N cleaner, and it's nice and clean. Also had my CFM TB installed, new fuel filter, and a new caster/camber kit. Now I'm just waiting for my tune from Tom.

sorry to hear about the loss.. but way to keep his car going...

if you do sway bars (the svt already has 21mm sways)
go with a 22 front/25 rear or something of the sort.. really helps out.
Tom's tune is amazing
i have a "custom" SRI and his tune and i love it...

Best thing with the SVT is the stock air box , snorkel and a drop in filter

SRI is the worst thing you can do

Even if you keep the snorkel and have the Steeda or Focus Sport heat shield?
