Finally, speaking of 80mph, the Focus is not a sports car, its an econocar. Therefore, even without the "alleged" DCT issues, asking or expecting the Focus to effortlessly merge in 80mph traffic is asking a lot out of the car. What is the top speed of the Focus anyway? I would say its approximately 100 - 110 tops.
Easy to hit 80mph on the turnpike and most people pass me at that like I am standing still. Some of the on ramps are too short for the stock Focus to gain acceleration...never mind the shuddering..

Yeah, but you won't be experiencing bumper to bumper rush hour traffic on the turnpike going 80mph.

Everyone has a different definition of bumper to bumper rush hour traffic, obviously, but this is the kind of thing I was refering to when I said, "over-exaggerations help minimize validity of claims". Especially in a merging lane.

As always, YMMV.
I have a very early 2013 - puchased in the fall of 2012. My dealer has said there are no pcm/tcm updates available for my car. Does that sound right?

I had multiple incident with my car and shuddering while getting on some highways near me...several have long ramps that tend to allow to get up to speed but if you have a Sunday driver in front of you doing 40, I expect shuddering and hesitation when this happens. S MODE helps somewhat.

Appears the ball is rolling, as sales increase so do the complaints and issues.

Apparently the attorneys are not smart enough to realize that.

Class actions are a joke. The lead attorneys will become rich while all the DCT owners will get mailed a check for 10 cents as their settlement.

I have been the "winner" of several class actions from stock transactions, Google etc. I have uncashed checks in my drawer for .01 (yes, that is one penny) The ink and the paper cost more than the value of the check.
