ST deals? Trade-in deals?

Hey guys... running the numbers and checking out just how doable trading up from my 2012 SEL is in order to get into a 2013 ST. I have a few questions for you ST owners...

1. What deals, if any, were you able to get on your ST? Whether it be incentives, discounts, financing, etc.

2. If you traded up from a 2012 Focus, what mileage and trade-in offer did they give you?

I currently have a 2012 SEL as stated, just over 20k miles on it, fully serviced at Ford every interval, fully documented, etc. so I'm hoping to get the full trade-in on my car.

Any help would be appreciated! If it helps, I'm looking to get an ST2 package with no other extras added.

Thanks!

Well, my info is pretty out of date -- but I bought on X-plan at the end of September. At that time, that was a pretty good deal.

My tradein ('97 Outback) wasn't really of interest to a dealer. They gave me a number, but I wasn't expecting it to matter.

From what I hear these days, it's pretty easy to get X-plan-like numbers without even having to bargain hard. Good negotiation might do better. Also, the Internet brochure / "Private Cash" offer now applies to STs, so there's an extra $500 there. (You need to order the brochure for the regular Focus line, not just the ST supplement, to get the coupon.)

I paid 27800 for my ST 3 with xplan and negotiation. the msrp was just shy of 31k. Some dealers in my area are marking STs up by 5k. as far as a trade in you might get as high as $15800 depending on options and how many used foci are in your area.

Thanks guys, how would I go about getting X-Plan pricing exactly? I've never really looked into it.

Thanks again for the help so far.

X-plan pricing is a pricing deal your company has or would offer if your buying a car

I got my st3 brand new for 25k after tax tags and title my regular focus SE for under 12.5k. I bought both at the same time so they cut me a decent deal on the st and a pretty amazing deal on the SE the st I used x plan pricing and the SE I used the hurricane sandy benefit tat ford offered and I used all the discounts they offered if you did not use xplan and then I negotiated them down even further cause I was buying two cars

Have seen pretty much every dealer in town discount their ST's by a few grand. They are sitting on the lots here and they are having a hard time selling them for some reason.

Relatively local too, I'll have to look into some of the Orlando dealerships then to see their stock. Any suggestions on dealerships up there to avoid dealing with or that you've had good experience with?

Thanks!

The discounts were inevitable as there are just not that many ST buyers.

The same thing happened with the Mazdaspeed 3. There were the early adapters (paying MSRP and sometimes more). Within a year, the dealers couldn't give them away.

Good things (in this case substantial discounts) come to those who wait.

Mullinax has a few ST's in stock, I deal with the one in Lake Park, no real complaints. Not sure if the other Mullinax dealerships are similar? They are not selling too good around here, have not seen one on the road yet, but when I bought my Titanium there were no good incentives (I got $2500 in cash). So I passed up the ST they had, wasn't a ST3 which is what I would have wanted anyways.
