You need to figure out where the water is coming from. Check for water stains (and moisture) both above AND below. There's a thread around talking about an evap draining tube getting clogged and causing interior water pooling - but that's mostly in floor area.

The location of that water stain APPEARS to be from a window... Try to tape a white sheet of paper to your inside window when you park - to see if it is wet (or shows signs of having been wet) later on.

Ill check all that you mentioned, thanks. Any ideas on the water pooling in the spare tire area after rain/car washing?

Yeah, I would check for a leak at the top of the passenger door frame, at the door and window seals. If you have a moonroof, I would check the side of the moonroof also.

On the sedan (I don't know which style you have), the spare tire is the lowest point in the trunk area, so any water that enters the trunk would naturally go there.

In your shoes, I'd get everything out of the trunk area (including the spare tire) and clean up any water, check for damage, etc. Then check all the rubber seals around the trunk/hatch closure, doors, windows, etc. There's a thread around talking about poor quality seals on some of these cars.

That water is getting in your car somehow, and it's extremely important to figure out how (and stop it) before it causes mold, mildew, and rust.

If you're still under warranty, I'd take that thing to the dealer and make them figure out where the water is coming from.

My last 4 cars were still new enough to had warranties, and I still have trouble reminding myself to actually use it. It's so first nature to just fixed things myself... but if you have the warranty, use it.
